In 2008 I was in a life changing car accident that crushed my right hand and wrist. I ended up with a steel plate and 8 screws in my right wrist and hand. And no career. For 40 years I was a bartender , waitress , had my own catering company and worked as the catering manager for the President of the U of Maryland , his family and the Deans and Professors.I loved my job and doing parties for 2 to 2000 people. The car acident took all that away. It was 2 years before my Dr knew what the outcome was going to be.I tryed to go back to work in my field and I could not do my job anymore. What to do now?????
2. 5 years before the accident I was packing to move and came across a childs beading book that was long forgotten. I packed it in my box and moved. And did not think about it again until after my accident. I had no idea what I was going to do with my life. I remembered that little book and took it out and I knew exactly what I was going to do. Thats when I started to design jewelry. The little spark of an idea turned into a flame that drives my passion for my work with natural stones and wire .I hand pick all of my stones, design all my own pieces, photograph all my work . In other words I wear all the hats at Mojowoman ‘s Jewelry. I am a multi published artist that specializes in wire work and beautiful natural stones.

4.Well that one is easy. When I was in the car accident and not able to do anything for myself and had to learn to use my right hand all over again.Lost my career.I was so lost . My door not only closed but slammed shut on.
Life lesson ( When one door closes , another one opens ) keeping the faith.
5. My favorite book is ( She’s Come Undone ) Wally Lamb
6.Of all the things I have learned 60 years , living life has been the best education .Going down the road of hard knocks. And making mistakes along the way is the best teacher.
7. I am grateful to God and my faith in him has gotten me through those really tough times I mentioned before.I am grateful that I was given a talent that has turned into my true passion.Do what you love, and never work a day in your life!
